I started my conference experience on Thursday morning, attending the Women’s Council meetings, where I learned new tips and tricks on how to use technology to be more efficient and effective in my business. Women’s Council is the place to be for networking and education, keeping our members up to date on real estate best practices for success.
I also attended my last committee meeting with the Young Professionals Network, where I’ve had the privilege of serving for the past two years. This is a dynamic, growing group of young professionals who sincerely want to make a difference and an impact in the real estate community. It’s been a privilege to serve the members and provide input and a fresh perspective for the future of our association. We also had a large number of members step up and take the RPAC “10 for 10″ with YPN Challenge, and you can get more information about getting involved with the challenge by visiting the website at www.realtoractioncenter.com/10for10.
At the NAR 360, we learned what the association is doing to provide information to consumers about the value of working with a REALTOR®. There were highlights of the new consumer ad campaign, which is more focused on buying and selling real estate versus issues that we have faced on Capital Hill in the past. These targeted messages are making consumers feel more positive about home ownership and confident about buying and selling real estate . It was great to hear that 93% of consumers said that using a REALTOR® makes a transaction easier, based on the research they’ve done.
We finished the evening with the Inaugural Gala and installation of 2014 National President Steve Brown and his leadership team. The evening was full of anticipation and inspiration for a positive future, and I look forward to continued growth and change over the next year.
