State and Local Forum on Global Business

My other role that I serve for NAR in 2013 is Vice Chair for State and Local Forum on Global Business. I and John Mike, who serves as your 2013 Chair for this committee, decided to change things up a bit. Instead of just providing a speaker and lecturing, we decided to give case studies of real examples of what board associations face with the global committees and ask each group how to work in these different scenarios.

It’s my first time serving on a NAR committee and it’s nerve-wracking, only because you want to make sure you do a good job for everyone and you don’t want to disappoint your chair. But it was really encouraging to see everyone so engaged. We had about 70 people show up for this meeting, and everyone had great input. If you’re interested in knowing what the questions were and the solutions that came out of it all, let myself or John know. We’ll be more than happy to share the great ideas!

Now that our session has finished and I’ve “graduated,” I am now your 2014 Chair! I look forward to serving in this capacity for all of our REALTORS®.
